What it's like

A quiet netted swimming spot at the water's edge below Seaforth, with bush around it and moored yachts out in the bay. It is a local's spot, rarely crowded.

When to go

Around high tide; at low tide the enclosure is much shallower. Avoid swimming after heavy rain.

Getting there and facilities

From the nearest bus stop it is about a ten-minute walk down steep streets, then about 66 steps to the water. There are no change rooms or showers at the baths.

Good to know

There are no lifeguards, and the steps make it hard going for anyone with limited mobility.
