What it's like

The baths are a sheltered harbour enclosure on the north side of the harbour, popular with local families in summer. The water is calm and harbour-fed, the setting leafy, and the city skyline is in view down the river.

They date from the 1920s and were refurbished in the late 1990s.

When to go

Open in the swimming season; check Lane Cove Council for dates and hours. Weekday mornings are quietest. Avoid swimming for a few days after heavy rain.
