What it's like
The pool is a simple circle of stones on the rock shelf next to Putty Beach, more a natural pool than a built one. Putty Beach is usually calmer than the surf beaches to the north, and the pool is a quiet spot for a dip. Its exact position on our map is approximate.
When to go
High tide on a calm day; at low tide it is too shallow to swim.
Getting there and facilities
Putty Beach is at Killcare, on the edge of Bouddi National Park.
Good to know
There are no lifeguards at the pool.
